Mahindra’s all-new car, the Marazzo, has risen through the ranks to become the second highest selling product in Mahindra’s line-up. Selling 3,387 cars in November 2018, the Marazzo is now only second to the Bolero which sold over 5,500 units in the same period.
Also, the Marazzo has overtaken the Mahindra Scorpio, the car that turned around the Indian SUV maker’s fortunes at the turn of the century. The Scorpio has been selling more than 3,000 units on an average but the sales dived to 2,906 last month as the market experienced a very slow festive season. The Scorpio sold 4,603 units in October as against the 3,810 units of the Marazzo.
While the entire car market has registered lower numbers, the Marazzo has stayed afloat thanks to the bookings it had garnered after its launch in the recent past. Mahindra would expect the Marazzo to capitalise on the strong start and become a star product like the Scorpio and the Bolero that keep on registering steady numbers for the carmaker month on month.
