Mahindra’s Tri-Nation Escape, a 3,000km drive across three countries – India, Nepal and Bhutan, was completed at Bagdogra, West Bengal. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. keeps conducting rallies and drives under the ‘Mahindra Adventure’ brand name and the ‘Tri-Nation Escape 2013’ was one amongst such drives which ran from October 20 to 31, 2013.
The 11-day drive started from India’s capital New Delhi where the flag-off saw 25 expedition vehicles going on the journey. Apart from these, there were five service vehicles accompanying these cars in case of any breakdown or technical failures during the expedition. The cars went to the largest city of Nepal, Pokhra, which is famous for the scenic Annapurna mountain range. The next destination in Nepal was the capital, Kathmandu.
From the motherland of Buddha, Nepal, the convoy went to the Land of the Thunder Dragon, Bhutan. Thimphu, the capital and also the largest city of Bhutan was visited following Paro, one of the most historic valleys in Bhutan. The participants went across the historic border crossings in their vehicles witnessing breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the beautiful monasteries around. They interacted with the people from the other countries and exchange a lot of informative nuggets on each other’s culture.
Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “Mahindra Adventure aims to provide adrenaline pumping off- road and on-road challenges and road trips for SUV enthusiasts in the country. We are pleased to conclude the second season of our international event - the ‘Tri-Nation Escape’.
