Mahindra & Mahindra sold 48,342 cars in the month of September as compared to 44,137 units in the corresponding period last year, resulting in a 10 per cent increase in sales. Mahindra’s domestic sales stood at 45,263 units as against 41,136 units in September 2011, and the exports scaled 3079 units.
The Indian utility car major’s consolidated auto sales numbers for the period April to September 2012 stood at 2,67,266 units, up by 20 per cent from the corresponding period of the last year. Speaking on the growth Pravin Shah, chief executive, automotive division, Mahindra and Mahindra said, “We are happy with the performance and growth that we have achieved during September 2012 over the festive season month of September 2011.
