Whilst one of Carwale Teams casual drives on the expressway we spotted what we thought a Mahindra Xylo from the front. But when the entire car could be seen we noticed that it was mix-breed of the Mahindra Xylo and a pick-up. It was pretty clear to us that it was the new Mahindra Xylo pick-up which was doing the rounds of the expressway. Clearly not missing a chance we got off our vehicles and grabbed the opportunity and took a few shots.
The Xylo pick-up is a twin of the Mahindra Xylo till the B-pillar after which it obviously gets transformed into a pick-up. Now the question is whether this pick-up will target the lifestyle segment like Tata Motors Xenon. We have to wait for the last verdict on that but till then let the pictures do the talking.Since the Xylo is a new generation platform this Pick-up will probably make it's way to the export markets first since its more refined powertrain and driving characteristics put it on par with competition abroad as a workhorse. We wonder whether a twin-cab will make it to production to make it a cheaper alternative than the Getaway or the Xenon.
