The Mahindra Xylo, which has seen a fair amount of success in India in its MUV avatar is now going to be exported to South Africa, albeit in a cargo variant. While the vehicle’s exterior will remain unchanged, the middle and the rear windows will be ‘blanked’ out. This saves Mahindra valuable time and money in re-tooling and making new dies for this cargo variant.
Also on the cards is a double-cab Xylo pickup and this will also be an important vehicle for exports.
We are told that that The Mahindra Xylo Cargo Van has already been approved by the ARAI (Automotive Research Authority of India) and is currently waiting for final export-related paperwork before it can make it to South African shores.
