The Mahindra XUV700 has achieved a new milestone by surpassing two lakh units of production in India. The SUV surpassed the one lakh units landmark in 21 months and crossed two lakh units production within 33 months.
Moreover, to celebrate this significant milestone, the Indian automaker has introduced two new colours for the SUV, namely Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna. While the former can be seen in other Mahindra SUVs, the latter is exclusive to the XUV700.
The XUV700 can be had in seven variants, namely, MX, AX3, AX5, AX5 Select, AX7, AX7 Luxury, and AX7 Luxury Blaze Edition. Mechanically, the XUV700 comes equipped with two powertrain options – a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The former is tuned to produce 197bhp and 380Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel mill is capable of generating 182bhp and 450Nm of peak torque. As for the transmission options, the engines come mated to a six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter gearbox. Meanwhile, the top-spec diesel variants also get the option of the AWD system.
