Mahindra has added new colours to its most successful vehicle, the XUV500. This new colour addition is spread across all the variants and not just limited to one.
The base variant W4 of the XUV500 gets Dolphin Grey, making it the third colour option after black and white. The mid-level variant W6 will now be available in Dolphin Grey and Satin White colour as well, whereas the top-end variant W8 gets two new colours- Opulent Purple and Artic Blue.
Mechanically, the SUV remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by 2.2-litre mHawk engine that produces 140bhp at 3,750rpm and maximum torque of 330Nm between 1,600-2,800rpm. The whole exercise of adding new colours to this SUV is to attract more consumers who have been shying away to buy new compact SUV’s like the Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster and the Nissan Terrano.
