Mahindra and Mahindra will launch the XUV300 for the Indian market on 14 February. The bookings are already open for the sub-compact SUV which will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine variants.
The new XUV300 has grabbed a lot of attention for its cheetah-inspired styling along with the robust design and sturdy build. Additionally, it gets some enticing features like LED DRLs, a big touchscreen infotainment system, push start-stop button and more. Then, the top-spec trim gets some segment-first features like seven airbags and a dual-zone climate control unit. Even the base variant is expected to get disc brakes on all four wheels. Furthermore, other advanced safety features include an electronic stability program (ESP) and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) too.
On the powertrain front, the petrol XUV300 will be powered by a 1.2-litre mill, while the oil-burner will be a 1.5-litre unit. This inline-four diesel engine is expected to be the same as the one in the Marazzo that produces 121bhp of max power and 300Nm of peak torque.
The upcoming Mahindra XUV300 is expected to be priced between Rs 8-12 lakhs. All the variant-wise prices and details will be available on 14 February. There's also an electric version of the XUV300 in the works which might see the light of the day in 2020. We are expecting more details to be revealed soon, especially with Mahindra developing the KUV100 EV with the growth in the electric vehicles segment.
