Mahindra XUV300 is the official name for the company’s compact SUV codenamed S201. Mahindra will launch the XUV300 in India in February 2019. The compact SUV is based on the SsangYong Tivoli, which was primarily developed for the developed markets. The company claims that the upcoming XUV300 will be a well-built product, which further means that this compact SUV will be the best quality product till date to be rolled out from the company’s production line.
Mahindra XUV300 carries forth the styling elements from the XUV500. As revealed by the company, the compact SUV will get best-in-segment features like sunroof, seven airbags and 17-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps and LED taillights. The cheetah inspired styling was first seen on the 2011 debut of the larger XUV and this time around it makes its comeback with fresher details on the XUV300.
The interior will receive a dual tone beige and black treatment. The dashboard features a touchscreen infotainment system and large air-cons on both ends with chrome bezels. The vehicle will also get a new steering wheel with mounted controls for audio and calls. Apart from being offered in petrol and diesel engine options, the company has not revealed the technical specifications for the vehicle yet and we believe that the vehicle might get a newly developed 1.2-litre G80 turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
As for pricing, the XUV300 is likely to be priced from Rs 8-12 lakhs (ex-showroom). More details about the vehicle will be known at a later date.
