Yesterday, bookings for Mahindra XUV300 compact SUV opened and today we can tell you that it will be offered in four variants, two engine options and across six colours. This is a new compact SUV based on the Ssangyong Tivoli, but will be a sub-4 metre SUV for the Indian market.
There will be four variants for the vehicle- W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O) and with six colours on offer at the launch. The petrol engine on offer will be the 1.2-litre while the diesel is a 1.5-litre unit. Both will only be offered with a manual transmission, but we expect that an AMT option will be added at a later date as a planned update for the compact SUV. Mahindra has also hinted that the XUV300 will be priced in the range of Rs 8 lakhs to Rs 12 lakhs.
The XUV300 will be Mahindra’s second vehicle in the sub-4 SUV segment and will rival against the likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Honda WR-V and of course, Mahindra’s very own TUV300.
