The much awaited Mahindra XUV300 is due to be launched in India on 14 February. The upcoming compact SUV will be available in W4, W6, W8 and W8(O) variants. The vehicle will compete against the likes of the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Honda WR-V and the Tata Nexon. The Mahindra XUV300 will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options.
The petrol version gets a 1.2-litre engine that produces 110bhp of power at 5000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 2000-3500rpm. The diesel version is powered by a 1.5-litre engine that generates 115bhp of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque at 1500-2500rpm. Both the engines come mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The lower end W4 and W6 variants are offered with 16-inch steel rims while the W8 and W8 optional are offered with 17-inch alloy wheels and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, respectively.Â
In terms of dimensions, the XUV300 measures 3,995mm in length, 1,821mm wide and has a height of 1,627mm. The company also claims that the vehicle has a best in segment wheelbase of 2600mm. The compact SUV gets MacPherson strut with anti-roll bar front suspension and the rear suspension gets a twist beam with coil springs.
