Upon its launch in July, the Mahindra XUV300's AMT trim was available with the diesel W8 and W8 (O) variants only. Now, the carmaker has introduced this AMT gearbox in a lower W6 variant priced at Rs 9.99 lakh.
This new ‘Autoshift’ trim will continue to get features and equipment from the existing W6 trim of the manual models of the XUV300. The automatic gearbox set-up in question has been sourced from Italian automotive company Marelli. This six-speed AMT unit is paired with the 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine with an electronic variable geometry turbocharger. This mill produces 115bhp of power and 300Nm of torque.
Mahindra has announced that the new W6 AMT variant is now available through all authorised dealerships across India. This iteration of the compact SUV will continue to compete with the diesel AMT variants of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Tata Nexon in the Indian market.
