Mahindra & Mahindra launched the latest iteration of the XUV 500, today, at an event in Delhi for a starting price of Rs 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Finally after four years of its launch in September 2011, the car gets a cosmetic makeover.
The changes to the exterior of the refreshed car might not be comprehensive, but the tweaks have ushered in a new avatar for the XUV 500. The cheetah-inspired looks of the car have now got better with the new chrome grille and headlamps with the S-shaped LED DRLs. These are similar to the ones on the Scorpio. The XUV 500 gets chrome embellished fog lamps, a new pattern for the alloy wheels and a sun-roof.
Apart from these cosmetic changes, there are a few improvements to the powertrain and the cabin is now equipped with the latest technological features. The dashboard is new and boasts of a seven-inch touch-screen system, voice message system and button start. The quality of the interior equipment has improved and can be seen from the pictures clearly.
