Another test mule of the Mahindra TUV500 has been spotted in south India and this time the pictures reveal a bit more information than the previous test mule spotted in Mettupalayam, Tamil Nadu. It is evident in the spy pictures that the TUV500 will be bigger than the TUV300.
The cabin of the TUV500 will be almost similar to the one seen on the TUV300. These spy shots reveal that the centre console of the test mule carries styling cues similar to that of the TUV 300. The silver accents on the rim of the centre console, the instrument cluster, the all-round air-conditioning ducts and the beige top dashboard, all seem to be borrowed from the TUV300.Â
Mahindra is also expected to add a few premium features such as climate control and a touch screen infotainment system in the TUV500 in keeping with the requirements of this segment.
The wheel base of the vehicle seems to be longer than the TUV300, thus offering a roomier cabin. A third row with a bench seat is very likely because of the stretched dimensions of the car. The side profile reveals styling lines similar to what was seen on the TUV300. The manufacturer, however, says that the design is inspired from a tank. Other noticeable styling cues are the boxy shape of the car, square wheel arches, minimum over hangs and rear-door mounted spare wheel.
The vehicle is expected to be launched in the coming festive season and when launched, the TUV500 will rival with the MPVs in the segment.
