Ahead of its official launch, Mahindra TUV300 Plus has been spotted on test once again in India. This time around, the SUV has been spotted with minimal camouflage. The long wheelbase version of the TUV300 will be called as Mahindra TUV300 Plus at the time of its launch. Along with mild cosmetic upgrades, the upcoming vehicle is expected to be offered with a bigger diesel engine option this time around.
The regular TUV300 is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine in two tunes - 84bhp at 3750rpm and 100bhp at 3750rpm. Reports indicate that the long wheelbase version might get a bigger 2.2-litre diesel engine from the Scorpio. The new model is expected to be offered in seven and nine seating options. Most of the features and equipment will continue to be carried forward from the existing model.
More details about the Mahindra TUV300 Plus will be known in the days to come. The Indian utility vehicle manufacturer, Mahindra has also been testing its upcoming MPV, codenamed U321 to take on the likes of the Toyota Innova Crysta in India.
