Mahindra has launched the TUV300 in a new bronze green colour on the eve of Independence Day. The special variant gets this new colour to commemorate the spirit of freedom.
The special edition will be available on a made to order basis. Mahindra has not mentioned the price of the new variant, but dealers say that they are not charging any premium over the current prices of the vehicle. There are no other cosmetic or mechanical changes to the TUV300 apart from this new paint scheme.
The exclusive variant continues to be powered by the 1.5-litre mHawk 80 series diesel engine that churns out 80bhp of power and 230Nm of torque. This mill comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, but customers can also opt for the AMT gearbox in the T6+ and T8+ variants.
The TUV stands for Tough Utility Vehicle and during the launch of the TUV300, Mahindra had described the design of the TUV300 to be inspired from a battle tank. Today as we celebrate our 70th Independence Day, the carmaker intends to celebrate the spirit of freedom by introducing this new colour for the TUV300. The SUV is quite capable of driving on our road conditions and is priced well to make it affordable in its segment. Mahindra has got a good response for the vehicle in India and has helped them consolidate their presence in the SUV segment.
