Mahindra to officially unveil the U301 compact SUV on July 30

Mahindra will officially unveil a concept version of the U301 compact SUV at a function in Mumbai on July 30. It will also announce the name of the vehicle and most probably an official launch date. This is the first vehicle from Mahindra’s new line up of SUVs and is expected to be followed by a range of body styles over the next two years.

The U301 has been spotted testing on multiple occasions and is in essence a compact SUV which might resemble the Bolero. It will slot in under the SUV rather than replace it.

The U301 is expected to be offered with both petrol and diesel engines of which the former will be a new realm that the Mumbai-based automaker is venturing into. It will lead this charge with new three and four-cylinder engines that have been developed in-house.
