Mahindra will be launching their second sub four metre vehicle, the Verito Vibe in Mumbai on June 5. The ‘Verito Vibe’ is indigenously designed and developed by M&M and is underpinned by the Verito platform. We have already seen spy pictures of the undisguised car from Pune and Bengaluru and know what it looks like both inside and outside.
The Mahindra Verito Vibe will be powered by the 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine. This mill powers the larger Verito and produces 65PS and 160Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
"At Mahindra we continuously strive to delight our customers with unique product offerings. The Verito Vibe marks our entry into the high volume sub-4 metre segment. We are confident that this product will be successful in delighting our customers with its young and sporty looks, without compromising the benefits that our existing Verito has to offer," Said Pravin Shah, chief executive, automotive division, Mahindra & Mahindra.
We are expecting the Verito Vibe to be priced at around Rs 4.5 lakh. This means that it will directly compete with the lower spec variants of the Indica Vista, Ford Figo.
