Mahindra is all set for the official unveiling of the new e2oPlus at an event in Delhi tomorrow. The carmaker has been teasing the upcoming car since the start of this month and now will finally launch it for the Indian market.
The teaser images hint that the e2oPlus is a makeover for Mahindra's two-door compact e2o hatchback. The test mules of the new car were spotted taking rounds several times before showing the increase in its overall dimensions. Some of the most important changes include a longer wheelbase and addition of two doors to add to the convenience. The rear section sports new tail lamps as seen in the teaser images. The e2oPlus is also expected to get a new fascia with new grille in line with Mahindra's new design language.
Mahindra recently announced that the car's name is an amalgamation of e2o, which stands for energy to oxygen and Plus is for the positive contributions that the car will make in the lives of customers. What we certainly know is that apart from the new looks, the e2oPlus will provide more space, a fast charging capability and a bigger range than the standard e2o. It should also continue to offer benefits like zero emissions, ease of driving, low running costs and home charging.
All the details and specifications will be revealed tomorrow at the event. We can expect the e2oPlus to be priced more than the standard e2o, but then we hope that the improvements will be worth the premium Mahindra will ask for.
Stay tuned for our first impressions of the e2oPlus that will be up on the site tomorrow.
