On Independence Day, Mahindra launched its newest SUV, the Thar Roxx, in the country. The new iteration of the Thar is available at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 12.99 lakh. Customers interested in purchasing the five-door Thar Roxx can visit their nearby dealerships to check the SUV in person, as it has started reaching dealerships across India.
Meanwhile, the test drives are set to commence only after 14 September. Moreover, customers can place their official orders for the SUV starting from 3 October.
The new Thar Roxx is a major step up in terms of features compared to the three-door version. The top-spec variant of the Roxx comes loaded with a large panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS suite, larger infotainment screen, digital instrument panel, wireless charger, 360-degree surround camera, and premium music system.
Mechanically, the five-door Thar Roxx is powered by a 2.0-litre TGDi petrol and a 2.2-litre CRDi diesel engine with manual and automatic gearbox options. Notably, while the prices of the RWD versions are out, the 4x4 variants’ pricing is set to be revealed on the day of the booking commencement.
