Mahindra has launched the Thar Roxx in India starting at Rs. 12.99 lakh for the petrol version. On the other hand, the MX1 base diesel variant of the five-door Thar Roxx is priced at Rs. 13.99 lakh. Here's a picture gallery of the SUV.

What differentiates the Thar Roxx from the three-door version is a new grille with six vertical elements that are split horizontally. These are flanked by circular LED headlamps with integrated C-shaped LED DRLs.
Up front, the chunky bumper houses a pair of LED fog lamps with cornering lights. On the sides, the SUV rides on 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and sports flared wheel arches.
At the back, the Thar Roxx gets rectangular LED tail lamp clusters which are different than the three-door unit. However, the tailgate-mounted spare wheel is identical.
The Thar Roxx rides on a Penta Link suspension with Watt's Link and gets a Brake Locking Differential. The base variants get safety features like six airbags and ESC as standard.
Now, the interior of the Roxx looks similar to the three-door Thar, but Mahindra has used soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door panels.
There is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and a digital instrument cluster of the same size.
Powertrain
The base variant of the petrol Thar Roxx is available with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that churns out 160bhp and 330Nm of torque. Then, the oil-burner gets a 2.0-litre diesel that produces 150bhp and 330Nm of torque. Both these engines come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
