- Offered with two powertrain options
- Prices start at Rs. 12.99 lakh
The Mahindra Thar Roxx was recently launched in the country at a starting price of Rs. 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Considering the hype around this new off-roader, there’s a lot of curiosity about various aspects of the Thar Roxx. One of the most asked questions is the certified mileage of the five-door Thar Roxx. And now, we have got our hands on the ARAI-certified mileage of the Thar Roxx.
The all-new Thar Roxx can be had with two powertrain options – a 2.0-litre TGDi petrol and a 2.2-litre CRDi diesel engine. Both motors come mated to a six-speed manual and a torque converter unit.
As for the mileage figures, the petrol motor is certified to return a fuel efficiency of 12.40kmpl. On the other hand, the diesel engine is said to deliver a claimed mileage of 15.20kmpl. Do note that the mentioned figures are ARAI-certified. Additionally, we have done the real-world mileage test of the diesel automatic version in the 4x2 guise.
In our tests, the Thar Roxx delivered a mileage of 10.82kmpl and 15.44kmpl in the city and on the highway, respectively. The combined figures came out to be 11.97kmpl, which is decent when compared to what is being claimed.
