The facelifted version of the Mahindra Thar was spotted testing in Nashik recently. The test mule that was spied earlier was in a disguised avatar, but now here are new clear images of the vehicle snapped at a dealership.
Mahindra has made a few cosmetic changes to this latest iteration of the Thar. These changes come in the form of an updated soft top with transparent windows. Another slight change to the external appearance is the side step that is now painted in black. The pictures of the cabin also show the small tweaks done to the interior. The HVAC system has been upgraded to make it a little more efficient and the centre console gets silver embellishments.
Mahindra will continue to employ the same set of engines for the revised Thar. The current vehicle is powered by a 2,523cc four-cylinder DI engine that churns out 63bhp of power and 182.5Nm of torque. The other model is powered by the 2,498cc CRDe diesel mill that produces 105bhp of power and 247Nm of torque.
Mahindra's offroader is still going strong in its segment and offers the invincible feel to an owner. The new improvements should come as an advantage to the prospective buyers when it goes on sale soon. We can expect a slight increase in the price of the refreshed Thar with the additional features.
