Here's some good news for off-road enthusiasts and fanatics. Mahindra and Mahindra might launch the Thar facelift on the 22nd of this month. The offroader will be updated with changes to make it a better vehicle.
The current model of the Mahindra Thar still goes strong in its segment and offers the invincible feel to an owner. So the changes Mahindra has brought in to the revised version are more of improvements to the current vehicle. There are a few cosmetic changes like the new soft top with transparent windows and black side step. The facelifted version gets changes in the cabin as well, which include an upgraded HVAC system and centre console with silver embellishments.
Mahindra will continue to employ the same set of engines for the revised Thar. The current vehicle is powered by a 2,523cc four-cylinder DI mill, which churns out 63bhp of power and 182.5Nm of torque. The other model is powered by the 2,498cc CRDe diesel engine that produces 105bhp of power and 247Nm of torque. The mechanical changes to the new model, if any, will be disclosed during the launch of the car.
Mahindra and Mahindra has timed the launch of the Thar at a good juncture, when most of the offroad enthusiasts take their offroaders out in the rough terrains. It is also observed the sales of the Thar have increased in the monsoons and hopefully the latest iteration of the Thar will appeal to the prospective buyers when it is launched this month.
