- Mahindra Thar Roxx prices in India to be revealed on 15 August
- A single-pane electric sunroof has already been confirmed
As we get closer to the launch date of the new Thar Roxx, fresh details of the SUV emerge, courtesy of spy shots. This time around, a test mule was spotted at what seems to be a dealer yard, alongside various other Mahindra test cars.
The fresh spy images of the 2024 Mahindra Thar five-door hint that the model could get a dual-pane sunroof at launch. While the camouflage covers most of the details, the cutouts on the roof indicate this upcoming feature, which could be reserved for the top-spec version. The model has been spotted with a single-pane sunroof earlier, which is now expected to be offered with the mid-spec trims.
Elsewhere, the five-door Thar is expected to get a new grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers, projector headlamps, new dual-tone alloy wheels, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, larger touchscreen unit, rear AC vents, fully digital instrument cluster, and more.
While Mahindra has not officially revealed the technical specifications of the upcoming Mahindra Thar five-door, the car is likely to carry over the powertrains from the three-door version. This includes 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines paired with six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
