Mahindra has officially revealed its sales numbers across the board for May 2024. The carmaker currently retails models including the XUV 3XO, XUV400, Thar, Scorpio, Scorpio N, Bolero, and the XUV700. In this article, we take a closer look at the numbers for the Thar SUV.
As of last month, the Thar recorded a sale of 5,750 units, of which the diesel versions alone accounted for 5,207 units. The petrol versions, on the other hand, witnessed a sale of 543 units. During the same period last year, the company sold 3,190 and 1,106 units of petrol and diesel Thar, respectively.
Simultaneously, Mahindra produced 5,224 units of the Thar diesel and 482 units of the Thar petrol last month. Meanwhile, the production numbers stood at 2,512 units for the petrol and 1,061 units for the diesel. In the coming months, these numbers will only increase as the brand will introduce the Thar five-door in India on 15 August.
