We have seen many camouflaged test mules of the facelifted Mahindra Scorpio earlier. However, the one spotted this time clearly reveals the changes the SUV gets as a part of its mid-life cycle refresh.
The overall design of the Mahindra Scorpio remains the same. It's the seven-slat front grille which is redesigned with a dual-tone treatment. There are some minor tweaks to the front bumper and headlights too. The fog lamps too get chrome surrounds, a front scuff plate and even clear lens indicators. The OVRMs get integrated LED turn indicators, while the vehicle rides on a new pattern of five-spoke alloy wheels. The black applique will get toned down and sport a traditional chrome garnish above the registration plate.
Though these images do not point at the changes in the cabin, we are expecting some changes to the interior too. The dash will get the same layout but now feature an updated infotainment system. This might be carried over from the updated XUV500 whose unit gets a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and many other apps. It is rumoured that there will be a new S11 variant which will get front facing seats in the third row.
There are no confirmations on the changes to the powertrain and we expect the same engine options to be retained. Mahindra might launch this refreshed Scorpio on 14 November, when the variant-wise prices will also be announced then. Stay tuned.
