Back in October, we had exclusively revealed that Mahindra will be launching the new Scorpio in mid-November. The country’s popular utility car manufacturer is all geared up to launch the Scorpio facelift on 14 November 2017. The product last received a considerable update back in September 2014. The new model will offer new style and feature upgrades to compete against the likes of the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and the recently launched Renault Captur in India.
As seen on the test mule the new Scorpio will features a new seven-slot grille and a mildly tweaked headlamp pattern. The SUV also gets redesigned foglamps, redesigned mesh and black cladding for the number plate. The sides resemble the current generation model, however it gets new ORVMs and alloy wheels. As for the rear, the new model gets revised tailgate and clear glass taillamps.
Although interior details are not known for now, we believe that the facelift model will be offered with a revised upholstery along with an all-black theme for the cabin. Reports indicate that the new Scorpio might get similar upgrades as offered in the KUV100 and the XUV500. Mechanical details are not available for now, however we believe that it might continue to be offered in existing engine options. Changes if any, might be in form of mild power upgrade from the current one. More details about the vehicle will be known at the time of its launch.
