Mahindra has launched a special edition of their popular SUV, the Scorpio, called the Adventure edition. The Scorpio Adventure edition will have a limited run of 1000 units and will be available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options for a price mark-up beginning from Rs 13.09 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
The Adventure edition had also been launched last year with a similar run of limited units and it is the same car that has reappeared this year. The changes are largely cosmetic and the Adventure edition gets a special white paint with silver cladding for the dual tone look. The Adventure decals on the sides add a touch of sportiness along with the gun-metal finished alloy wheels and red-painted brake callipers. The tail lamps have been smoked to make the Adventure edition stand out.
On the inside, the Scorpio Adventure edition comes with all the bells and whistles usually associated with the top-spec S10 trim. The seats are done in blue and black and the dashboard gets the Adventure badge on the passenger side. The cabin is done up in pale white with blue inserts on the door trims as a part of the dual tone interior. The centre panel sports a touchscreen infotainment system with the screen doubling up as a display for the rear view camera as well. It also gets automatic climate control, electrically operated wing mirrors and a driver seat which is adjustable for height as well.
Under the hood of the Adventure edition, you will have both the 2.2-litre and 1.99-litre four cylinder turbocharged diesel engines that develop about 120bhp of power and 280Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. As mentioned before, you can choose between 2WD drive and four-wheel drive as well. Being a top-spec car, it gets dual front airbags and ABS for safety features.
The 1.99-litre 2WD Scorpio is priced at Rs 13.09 lakh while the 4WD will cost you Rs 14.2 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The 2.2-litre cars will cost you Rs 13.53 lakh, ex-showroom Navi Mumbai for the 2WD while the 4WD is priced at Rs 14.71 lakh.
