-New sub four-metre SUV based on Ssangyong Tivoli
-Interiors have also been picked from the Tivoli
-Likely to get same engine options as TUV300
Mahindra will officially christen the S201 compact SUV tomorrow. This is essentially a shortened version of Ssangyong Tivoli and is expected to be launched in India in early 2019. It’s expected to stand alongside the TUV300 and is likely to be offered with the same 1.5-litre 100bhp diesel as well as a turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol engine.
The interiors of the car have already been spied and we can confirm that it will share many of the elements with the Tivoli. The top of the line petrol and diesel variants will get a touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, height adjustment for the driver’s seat and dual front USB ports.
This car will take on the likes of the Tata Nexon, Honda WR-V, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza as well as the Mahindra TUV300 itself.
