Mahindra registers 5,000 bookings for the Quanto in less than a month

Mahindra has registered 5,000 orders for its compact MUV, the Quanto, after the launch on September 20. The company also announced that its online campaign to promote the MUV culminated in Mahindra trending at number two position with the Mahindra Quanto following closely at number 4 on Twitter during the launch day.  

Speaking on the achievement, Pravin Shah, chief executive, automotive division said, “It is a delight that the Quanto has received over 5,000 bookings in a short span of 3 weeks. This response strengthens our belief that Quanto will be able to create a new category within the SUV segment with its unique value proposition. “

The Mahindra Quanto is available in four variants and is powered by a 1.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 100bhp and 240Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra is also currently working on a semi-automatic and four-wheel drive of the MUV.  Prices for the Quanto start at Rs 5.82 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra) for the base variant.
