Mahindra has recalled their flagship SUV, the XUV500, for proactive replacement of certain parts. The recall is for a select batch of the SUV manufactured in 2011-12 and the company plans to individually contact the owners for the replacements.
This is the first recall by Mahindra four wheelers and it will include replacement of three parts – the fluid hose, front power window unit and the left wiper blade cover. All the replacements will be at the company’s cost. Mahindra sold over 60,000 units of XUV500 since launch in October 2011 – the company has not confirmed the number of vehicles that are being recalled.
