Mahindra has issued a proactive recall for 900 units of the Scorpio Ex manufactured between October-November 2013. The company will replace the pressure regulating valve of the respective examples by contacting the owners.
Although the official communication does not divulge any further details about the issue, we suspect that this is regarding the turbocharger of this base variant powered by the old 2.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. Mahindra has confirmed that the replacement will be carried out with immediate effect and would be done free of cost.
The recall is limited only to the Scorpio Ex variant manufactured during the said period and does not affect other Scorpio variants.
