Mahindra and Mahindra recently flagged of their 'Goodness Drive', during which three Mahindra e2os will travel from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. It is a first of a kind electric vehicle expedition during which electric cars will be driven across the length of the country.
The drive will go on for a month as the zero emission Mahindra e2os will be driven for more than 5,000kms across 52 locations in our country. The ‘Mahindra Reva Goodness Drive – Kashmir to Kanyakumari’ aims to promote the advantages of electric vehicles to the people in India.
Arvind Mathew, Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Reva, said, "Mahindra e2o is the Mahindra Group’s endeavour to offer its customers a clean, smart and economical personal mobility solution and thus redefine sustainable urbanisation. To create awareness of the benefits of electric mobility through Mahindra e2o, we are pleased to flag off the Goodness Drive. As a pioneer of electric vehicles and integrated mobility solutions in India, it is our effort to make EVs more accessible in order to build a cleaner tomorrow. By traversing this vast distance, our e2os will look to effectively dispel the range anxiety amongst customers and will demonstrate the cars ability to handle difficult terrain."
The manufacturer aims to propagate the convenience of using an electric vehicle and how better the car is in comparison to the conventional cars. They also plan to eliminate the doubts from people's mind about the range and durability of electric vehicles though this drive. It is interesting to see that Mahindra will not only promote the cars by putting them against all odds, but also test the vehicle for its endurance and reliability on this drive.
