Mahindra Quanto gets a new replacement in form of the Mahindra NuvoSport. Launched in India at a starting price of Rs 7.35 lakh, the vehicle competes strongly against the recently launched Maruti’s Vitarra Brezza and Ford Ecosport. The newly launched Mahindra NuvoSport is available in six variants - N4, N4+, N6, N6 AMT, N8 and N8 AMT.
Elaborating on the variant-wise features, the NuvoSport N4 variant priced at Rs 7.35 lakh has basic features like the air-conditioning, engine immobilizer and the power steering. Mahindra has omitted even the body coloured bumper and door handles from this trim. It still has a few interesting bits like the follow me home headlamps, eco and power modes for the engine and a reclining second row. The NuvoSport N4+ priced at Rs 7.65 lakh is the same car, but with safety features. It gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, height adjustable front seats and seatbelt reminder.
The next-in-line NuvoSport N6 variant which is priced at Rs 8.36 lakh carries forward all the features from the N4+ while additionally offering rear wash-wiper, audio system with USB and aux connectivity, rear 12V power outlet, side and rear footstep, body colored bumpers and door handles, electric adjust wing mirrors, remote locking, power windows and Micro Hybrid technology. For those interested with AMT convenience they can opt for the NuvoSport N6 AMT variant priced at Rs 9.0 Lakh. The N6 AMT gets all the features from the N6 except the Micro Hybrid technology.
Need more features? The Mahindra NuvoSport N8 priced at Rs 9.12 lakh comes with touchscreen infotainment system with USB, aux and Bluetooth connectivity, multi-function steering, leather upholstery, front-and-rear centre armrest, driver seat height adjust, LED daytime running lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, foglamps, puddle lamps and rear parking sensors. The top of the line NuvoSport is the N8 AMT priced at 9.76 lakh.
If you are looking to buy a diesel automatic in the compact SUV segment, Mahindra is the only brand to go to. Neither the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza nor the Ford EcoSport has that option with the oil burner. The variant we would pick as the best bet is the N6 AMT, it might miss out of few nice features, but has the basics covered and moreover offers the comforts of an automatic, without being more expensive than the competition.
