Mahindra has revealed their new XUV Aero concept car at the 2016 Auto Expo. It is a coupe SUV type design based on the XUV500.
Earlier, Mahindra had only released an official sketch of the vehicle, but have now revealed car at the motor show. The XUV Aero concept previews the direction that Mahindra will take with its current flagship model. It gets flared wheel arches, a rear sloping roofline and a completely new tail lamp setup as well as boot design. The highlight of the concept is the outward opening doors.
Under the bonnet of the XUV Aero will be a powerful mHawk mill delivering 210bhp of power. It will feature a Next gen turbo and help the car propel from 0-60kmph in under six seconds. The car will also boast of multiple drive and suspension modes like race, off-road, street and sport.
The Mahindra XUV Aero concept is a design study and will be eventually developed after taking various types of feedback. Venturing into this segment of cars that provide luxury and performance will be a major step for Mahindra knowing that it will be the first manufacturer to introduce and develop such a body style in India.
