- Marazzo MPV to be launched in India tomorrow
- Based on distinctive sharp-inspired design philosophy
- Based on an all-new monocoque platform Â
Mahindra will finally launch its much-awaited MPV, the Marazzo in India tomorrow. The Indian car manufacturer had been building up to the launch by revealing the vehicle in bits and pieces. However, images of the production-ready version of the vehicle was recently spotted at a dealership stockyard in the country. The company claims that the Marazzo is based on an all-new monocoque platform with the largest footprint for a Mahindra till date.
Although Mahindra has revealed that the Marazzo will be offered with a new engine option, the company has not spoken about it in detail yet. We believe that it might be a 1.6-litre diesel engine from the Falcon series that the company has been working on for quite some time now. The engine is expected to come mated to a six-speed manual and an optional six-speed automatic transmission. A petrol engine option is expected to be introduced in the due course of time.
The Marazzo has a distinctive shark-inspired design philosophy that is evident from its aerodynamic and streamlined design. The MPV gets an intimidating front look with shark-teeth like chrome grille inserts. The rear section, on the other hand, is highlighted by the shark-tail like tail lamps. The vehicle also features a shark-fin antenna to complete its overall aesthetics.
As for the interior, the Marazzo gets a new instrument cluster with purple illumination. The upholstery will be offered in perforated leatherette and will get automatic climate control with rear AC. The rear AC system is unique with its longitudinal layout and is called the ‘surround cool’ air conditioning system.
