The recently introduced Mahindra Marazzo MPV in India makes its debut in the USA at the ongoing Detroit Motor Show. The vehicle was showcased alongside the US-spec Roxor utility vehicle. Both the vehicles have been designed at the Mahindra North American Technical Centre (MNATC) in Detroit, Michigan. The Marazzo has also received design inputs from Pininfarina.
The Roxor is exclusively sold in the US as an off-road vehicle and based on the Thar in India. The vehicle is powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 61bhp of power. The engine mated a five-speed manual gearbox sends power to all four-wheels. The Marazzo is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel four-cylinder engine developing 121bhp at 3500rpm and 300Nm of torque from as low as 1750rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
Mahindra has not revealed any plans of launching the Marazzo for the US market. The Roxor is manufactured at the company’s facility in Detroit.
