- Production-ready MPV spotted undisguised
- Reveals the shark-inspired design philosophy with shark-teeth like chrome grille inserts
- Based on an all-new monocoque platform
Ahead of its official launch in India on 3 September, the upcoming Mahindra Marazzo has been spotted undisguised. The MPV is based on an all-new monocoque platform with the largest footprint for a Mahindra till date. Building up to the launch, Mahindra had been teasing the vehicle in bits and pieces. However, this time around, the production-ready model has been spotted undisguised at a dealership stockyard.
The distinctive shark-inspired design philosophy with the shark-teeth like chrome grille inserts which were seen in teaser images can now be seen in production form. For the first time, the twin-chamber projector headlamp with LED DRLs can also be seen in the images along with the distinctive alloy wheels.
Although Mahindra has revealed that the Marazzo will be offered with a new engine option, the company has not spoken about it in detail yet. We believe that it might be a 1.6-litre diesel engine from the Falcon series that the company has been working on for quite some time now. The engine is expected to come mated to a six-speed manual and an optional six-speed automatic transmission. A petrol engine option is expected to be introduced in the due course of time.
