Mahindra & Mahindra Nashik plant workers are on strike since yesterday evening. The workers and the union are demanding an increase in the wages. The company has confirmed that they are in continuous touch with the workers and are trying to reach a mutually agreeable settlement as early as possible.
Mahindra has issued a statement that they have has suffered a production loss of 500 vehicles since yesterday; however they also assure that the sales and deliveries won’t be affected as they have three weeks of stock in pipeline. The Mahindra Nashik plant produces the Xylo, Scorpio, Bolero and Verito.
