The workers at Mahindra & Mahindra Nashik plant have called off strike their strike, which was going on since March 5 evening. The proposed strike from March 11 has also been called off by the union and the company is expecting normal operation in all shifts to resume soon.
Mahindra management and the union will simultaneously continue to negotiate on the workers wage hike demand. Mahindra has suffered a production loss of around 500 cars till yesterday, but the sales were not impacted as they have three weeks inventory in pipeline. Mahindra manufactures the Xylo, Verito, Scorpio and Bolero at the Nashik facility.
