Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has launched the Maxximo Mini-truck in Nepal on May 19 at NPR 9.65lacs. The Vice President of Nepal, Mr. Parmanand Jha, was the guest of honour at the launch which was also attended by senior officials from the Mahindra Group.
The T.M. Dugar Group, one of Nepal’s leading industrial groups, will be the distributor for the Maxximo Mini-truck. “We are delighted to consolidate our presence in Nepal where Mahindra is already a well established brand. The Maxximo Mini-truck represents the next generation of mini-trucks and reflects our focus on customer-centricity and technology. Since its launch in India in 2010, the Maxximo Mini-truck has already achieved a 22% market share in the small LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) 4 wheeler category. The launch of the Maxximo Mini-truck in Nepal will soon be followed by the launch of the Maxximo Mini Van.
The minitruck has a 2-cylinder CRDe engine with DOHC technology and 4 valves per cylinder. It delivers a top speed of 70 kmph and best-in-category acceleration, in loaded condition. It has a loading area of 3.2 sq. mt. (35 sq. ft.) coupled with 850 kg of rated payload.
