Mahindra has launched the XUV500 Sportz for the Indian market at Rs 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). This variant is based on the top end W8 model and is limited to 1,000 units only.
The XUV500 Sportz edition gets stylish red decals, alloy wheels with red inserts, red accents on the fog lamps and door handles, red roof rails and ‘Sportz’ badging. In the interiors, the SUV gets new sporty leather-fabric seats.
The company has limited the changes to this variant to cosmetic only and mechanically remains untouched. This variant will continue to be powered by the 2.2 litre mHawk engine that churns out 140bhp at 3750rpm and maximum torque of 330Nm between 1600 and 2800rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
