Keeping in tune with the times where more and more manufacturers are creating systems for increased interactivity between mobile phones and vehicles, Mahindra has launched the Blue Sense mobile application for its flagship model the XUV500.
The application allows the user to connect (via Bluetooth) his phone with the infotainment system of the SUV and control all its features. Blue Sense can also be used to monitor the climate control system, emergency alerts and the tyre pressure.
The application is presently available only for Android devices and is present on the W8 variant of the XUV500. However, owners of other variants of the XUV500 can contact their dealers to upgrade their infotainment system to make them compatible with Blue Sense mobile application.Earlier, Mahindra had launched a “Tell Tale App” which has been downloaded by more than 7000 XUV500 users on their Android devices.
Commenting on the launch of the application, Rajan Wadhera, chief executive – technology, product development andsourcing, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “The Mahindra Blue Sense app, designed by Mahindra & Mahindra’s electronics team, is designed to take user experience to the next level. In keeping with our practice of bringing in many firsts on the XUV500, this first-of-its-kind smart app will provide greater convenience, accessibility and information to the driver as well as co-passengers to ensure a safe, pleasurable and hassle-free driving experience.”
