The country’s popular utility vehicle manufacturer, Mahindra, has introduced the KUV100 Trip in India at a starting price of Rs 5.16 lakhs. The new variant of the micro SUV is now available with an optional CNG kit for the very first time in the country. Focused to serve the fleet market, the KUV100 trip is available in petrol with CNG and diesel mFalcon engine options. The CNG variant is priced at Rs 5.16 lakhs, while the diesel variant is priced at Rs 5.42 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The newly launched KUV100 Trip is based on the pre-facelift version of the E2 trim. The KUV100 Trip gets a six-seat layout in diesel, while the petrol version is limited to a five-seat arrangement. However, in the six-seat layout, it allows the additional centre seat in the front to be converted to a large armrest for the driver as well as the co-driver. In an effort to boost its sales, the company is offering financial schemes, special accessory packages along with extended five year warranty on the KUV100 Trip.
Under the hood, the petrol version is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine that generates 82bhp in petrol and 70bhp in CNG mode. The diesel version on the other hand gets a 1.2-litre engine that generates 77bhp of power. As for safety, the vehicle gets ABS as a standard equipment and also gets an 80kmph speed limiter to comply with government guidelines for commercial vehicles. The KUV100 Trip gets basic features likes AC, power steering and manual internally-adjustable ORVMS.
