-Mahindra eKUV100 spied in Chennai
-Could be showcased in the production form at the 2020 Auto Expo
The electric version of the Mahindra KUV100, also known as the eKUV100, was spotted during a public road test once again. New spy images taken in Chennai reveal a semi-camouflaged unit of the model that could be showcased in production form at the 2020 Auto Expo.
As seen in the spy images, the Mahindra KUV100 electric test-mule is partly camouflaged, including parts such as the hood, front fenders, boot lid and the upper portion of the bumper, hinting at where the changes could lie. The model is based on the current-gen KUV100, known as the KUV100 NXT.
The eKUV100 was showcased as a concept by Mahindra at the 2018 Auto Expo held in Delhi. It is believed that the model could source power from the 30kW AC induction motor via a lithium-ion battery pack, similar to the eVerito. The company is also likely to showcase the production version of the electric XUV300, codenamed S201.
