Mahindra is celebrating the first anniversary of the KUV100 in India with an anniversary edition. It is available on in the top-end K8 six-seater variant across both petrol and diesel engine options and is priced at an additional price of Rs 13,000.
The anniversary edition of the compact crossover comes with two dual tone exterior colour options – flamboyant red or a dazzling silver body topped with metallic black roof and pillars. The wheels have been upgraded from the regular 14-inch to a bigger 15-inch as standard on the K8 variant. On the inside, the anniversary edition gets a new sporty black and premium theme with a new upholstery design.
In addition to this, customers can opt for four accessories kits namely – sporty exterior, sporty interior, premium exterior and premium interior. These kits comprise of multiple accessories package. The K6 and K6+ variant, on the other hand, will now come with a new ‘spider’ design 14-inch alloy wheels.
The KUV comes with two engine options – the petrol mFalcon G80 and the diesel mFalcon D75. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine develops 82bhp of power and 114Nm of torque while the 1.2-turbocharged litre diesel 3-cylinder engine will deliver 77bhp of power and 190Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a five-speed transmission. Prices start at Rs 4.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for base variants, whereas the anniversary edition is available on the top K8 trim which is priced Rs 6.37 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings are open at all Mahindra dealerships across India.
Launched in January 2016, the KUV100 has managed to sell over 42,000 units in India. The update for the compact crossover comes right after the launch of its archival, Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
