Back in 2015, Mahindra had introduced a facelift version of the XUV500 that came loaded with features and fresh design upgrades. Among a range of features, the XUV500 was offered with push-button start and stop system and passive keyless entry. However, Mahindra had restricted these two features to the manual versions of the W8 and W10 trims. This time around, the company is offering these two features in the W10 AT version as well.
The XUV500 W8 variant however continues to get these two features in the manual trim and leaves us guessing as to why Mahindra has not done the same on its W8 AT trim. The XUV500 W10 AT will now sport smart key in place of the regular flip-out key type along with request buttons located on the front door handles. For now, the W10 AT prices remain unchanged and the FWD version is priced at Rs 17.08 lakh and the W10 AWD AT is priced at Rs 18.17 lakh (Both ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The XUV500 AT is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine which puts out 140bhp of power and 330Nm of torque. Whereas in Delhi and NCR region, the XUV500 AT is powered by a 1.99-litre mHawk diesel engine that generates similar power output with a little less torque of 320Nm. In addition to the existing interesting features, the two new additions will make it all the more interesting.
