- To get connected three-screen layout
- To feature a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo
Mahindra is working on multiple all-electric models that will be launched in a phased manner starting next year. Unlike the current XUV400, which carries a similar interior theme as its ICE counterpart, the upcoming electric models will get a heavily revamped interior and exterior styling.
The dashboard visible in the image is of the XUV.e8, which is the coupe version of the XUV700-based EV. As seen in the picture, the biggest highlight of the cabin of the SUV is the three-screen setup, which we have usually seen in high-end luxury cars.
The identical infotainment and the instrument panel are already on offer with XUV700. However, the multimedia display for the co-driver is a new addition. Also to note, the steering wheel gets a new treatment as well. This is similar to what Tata Motors offers with their new range of SUVs.
The twin-spoke steering wheel gets an illuminated Mahindra logo with controls on either side. Notably, the infinity butterfly ‘M’ logo is of the new all-electric identity of Mahindra. Other elements such as the centre console and the HVAC panel have been carried over from the ICE XUV700.
Feature-wise, the upcoming Mahindra XUV.e8 will likely be equipped with tech such as wireless smartphone connectivity, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, multiple drive modes, Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree surround camera with blind spot monitor, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
