Mahindra Electric recently launched a connected mobility app named NEMO Life for electric vehicles (EVs). Here's what users can expect from the app, which is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
It's a cloud-based platform that offers more than 40 different features. Apart from managing multiple users, providing range information and reminding to charge the car, it also offers insights into driving and charging performance. This app alerts users about unlocked doors, a disengaged handbrake and can be used to lock/unlock doors, start/stop charging or remotely control the AC as well. What's more, owners can also call for road side assistance right through the app.
The carmaker has designed this NEMO Life app through feedback from customers. Their team studied different EV usage patterns and many more parameters like charging cycles, vehicle controls and real-time driving data. According to the feedback and survey, it was found that the major barriers in the adoption of EVs were battery performance, range anxiety and multiple user management. Now with this app, personal electric car users will be able to get all this useful information right through their smartphone.
